Job Title: Import Documentation Coordinator (Tariff Refund Project)

Location: Schaumburg, IL
Pay Range: $24–$25/hour (Based on Experience & Qualifications)

Role Overview:

 

Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for an Import Documentation Coordinator (Tariff Refund Project) with our client located in Schaumburg, IL. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support a 4–5 week contract tariff refund project. This role is ideal for someone with an accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative background who is comfortable working with documentation, reports, and structured processes. No prior trade or customs experience is required.

The Import Documentation Coordinator will report to the Purchasing Manager and assist with gathering, organizing, and preparing import documentation for review.

Import Documentation Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Review shipment reports to identify purchase orders associated with specific clients
  • Locate and gather corresponding import entry documentation
  • Organize documents into the appropriate folders
  • Rename files according to company naming conventions, including purchase order numbers
  • Upload documentation into the system for data extraction and review
  • Provide clear instructions to AI tools to ensure the correct documents are processed
  • Verify documentation accuracy and identify missing or incomplete information
  • Maintain organized records and ensure documents are properly matched to purchase orders
  • Assist with additional project-related tasks as needed

Import Documentation Coordinator Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, administrative, or document management experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately through repetitive processes
  • Comfortable reviewing reports and organizing documentation
  • Basic Excel skills required, including sorting and filtering spreadsheets
  • Comfortable using AI tools and providing clear written instructions
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
