SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for leading and maintaining customers across the United States and Canada. This role focuses on servicing customers, growing packing volume, market share, and profitability through strategic customer management, pricing execution, and cross-functional coordination with operations, quality, logistics, and finance teams.
The Sales Account Manager oversees customer prioritization, pricing and promotional strategy, packaging decisions, and market communications. This position plays a critical role in maximizing returns on fruit through disciplined sales execution, quality management, purchasing negotiations, freight optimization, and effective accounts receivable oversight.
Success in this role requires strong market insight, commercial judgment, and the ability to balance sales growth with margin protection, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Grow relationships with strategically aligned retailers, wholesales, and food service in the USA and Canada
  • Negotiate sales and promotional programs for both Florida and imported citrus
  • Develop strategic alliances with key customers
  • Continuously analyze trends and statistics to ensure strategic alignment and market relevance
  • Contribute to sales order fulfillment and order management
  • Coordinate with support teams (sales, logistics, Packing, imports, accounting, QC, marketing)
  • Promote Company image and develop Main Company brands.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working in Food and Agriculture, a four year degree in a relevant field, a growth mindset and strong motivation to pursue a long term career in Food and Agriculture Sales and Marketing. Experience of produce and knowledge of Citrus a plus but not necessary. Candidates must be able to work independently and be open to working collaboratively in teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Sales or business development experience in the produce industry (citrus a plus, but not necessary).

WORK HOURS & ENVIRONMENT
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40+ hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
