Description

As an Import/Export Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to facilitate the smooth and efficient movement of goods across international borders. Your duties involve coordinating and overseeing all aspects of importing and exporting operations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and maximizing efficiency in the logistics process.


What you'll do (including, but not limited to):

  • Coordinate the movement of goods between different countries, including arranging transportation, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Prepare all necessary documents related to import and export, such as bills of lading, customs declarations, and shipping invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, staying up to date with relevant laws and regulations and guide the company in adhering to them.
  • Coordinate with various departments to handle logistics for international shipments, including managing transportation, storage, and distribution.
  • Communicate with clients about the status of their shipment while addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Partner directly with the USDA for compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned/needed.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Import/Export experience required, ideally related to food distribution.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with great attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish highly preferred.
  • Good attendance record and good work ethic.
  • Ability to prioritize needs and reassess business demands.
  • Capable of working in a very fast-paced and ever-changing day-to-day operation while being able to stay on task and multi-task as needed.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Excel, Outlook and Word.
