Job description

The Import/Export Specialist at Dynapower will be responsible for the administration of the internal customs inventory control system.

General Responsibilities

  • Key participant in computing duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of merchandise exported/imported to/from foreign destinations
  • Collaborate on examining invoices and shipping documents to ensure accordance with federal regulations
  • Key participant in the discharge process for materials and components temporary imported into through the inventory control system bimonthly
  • Key participant in the discharges process for machinery and equipment imported temporary through the customs inventory control system
  • Review, audit and perform appropriate corrections to information contained in the master catalog to keep information accurate and correct at all times
  • Organize and validate local classifications of parts and materials to reconcile with local broker information


Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

Additional Experience / Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience in import/export compliance at a manufacturing company preferred

  • Experience projecting and optimizing merchandize duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, etc. a plus

  • Experience in ITAR environments also a plus

Base Salary Range:

$62,080.00 - $85,360.00
