Position Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all customer-facing projects for the Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP). This role serves as the primary project lead for cybersecurity, compliance, and CMMC-related engagements, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with customer requirements.


The Project Manager works closely with security engineers, compliance consultants, leadership, and customer stakeholders to manage project timelines, resources, risks, and communications across multiple concurrent engagements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and project management tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP, CAPM, or Agile certification.
  • Experience in cybersecurity or managed services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Project Management

  • Manage the full lifecycle of MSSP and CMMC customer projects.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate project activities across technical, compliance, and customer teams.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate status to leadership and customers.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Track project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.


Customer Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers.
  • Schedule and facilitate kickoff meetings, status meetings, and project reviews.
  • Manage customer expectations and ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Coordinate collection of required documentation and evidence for compliance engagements.


CMMC & Compliance Support

  • Coordinate CMMC assessment readiness activities.
  • Track completion of POA&Ms, remediation efforts, and compliance milestones.
  • Support implementation projects related to NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Maintain project documentation associated with compliance engagements.


MSSP Service Delivery

  • Coordinate onboarding of new MSSP customers.
  • Track deployment and implementation of managed security services.
  • Collaborate with security engineers on service implementations and remediation projects.
  • Ensure customer deliverables are completed according to service agreements.


Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintain project schedules and documentation in project management platforms.
  • Prepare executive-level status reports.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics.
  • Document lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities.


Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000
