Job description

As the Microsoft 365 Engineer, you will be amember of the End User Productivity (EUP) team. EUP is a global team responsible for the management and delivery of client solutions that address current and future business needs while ensuring value realization in the shortest possible timeframe.

You will be responsible for the delivery of services related to productivity and collaboration solutions focused on, but not limited to, the Office 365 platform. (This includes Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Stream, Office Applications and more. ) You will also take on service ownership of Copilot and other related Microsoft AI capabilities.

You will interact with our Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to deliver solutions to our users that promote ease of use and productivity while ensuring adherence to security requirements. You will also interact with many departments within SCJ to understand requirements and to deliver business value. This position includes management of the related EUP projects, platforms and day to day level 3 support.

This is an onsite role in Racine, WI

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide engineering and timely support that delivers a stable, secure, global platform following internal methodologies, process, and standards.

  • Leadership role in keeping current with existing and emerging technologies and providing input to technology roadmaps.

  • Experience coordinating and managing escalation with vendors.

  • Ability to coordinate with vendors and partners as needed for problem resolution.

  • Management of vendors and partners’ relationships as necessary.

  • Lead and/or participate in various projects: strategic and operational initiatives.

  • Document processes and procedures for maintenance and support.

  • Strategic outlook for new technologies, including AI, along with training and user enablement of these technologies.

  • Participation in development of strategic plans for the team.

  • Provides 3rd level operational support for platforms. Off-hours support and a flexible schedule to accommodate a global team will be required.

  • Management of vendor relationships, including, but not limited to:

    • Overseeing project implementations

    • Managing/tracking project budgets

    • Software licensing, service monitoring, new services.

  • Lead and/or participate in various projects: strategic and operational initiatives.

  • Leadership role in proactively maintaining awareness of technology trends, prototype possible solutions that would enhance the productivity of end users and bring value to the business

  • Actively manage and implement continuous improvement plans for services within the portfolio

  • Work closely with the colleagues to translate business requirements into technical requirements.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders on solution development that will drive technical change.

  • Champion the resolution of technically significant issues affecting the platform through personal ownership

  • Develop, prioritize, and meet deliverable budgets, schedules, and scope milestones.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline

  • 5+ years of experience with a global enterprise-level service.

  • 5+ years of experience which includes:

    • Office 365 management and administration

    • A skill set that includes a wide breadth of infrastructure related technologies.

    • User-centric design thinking that leads to customer service solutions

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full time position in Racine with occasional travel to Chicago required (no overnights).

  • Remote work is available once a week for eligible employees.
