This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements. You must be available five days per week during designated work hours. The work arrangement for this role is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance. Position Overview

The Manager Implementation Project Management Ops is responsible to manage a team of Implementation Project Managers who are responsible for the successful implementation of Paylocity products for our customers. This Manager cultivates solid relationships with key internal stakeholders and be seen as a trusted partner for successful launch of the Paylocity Product Suite. The Manager assesses resource needs and hire and manage the team responsible for launching our customers onto the Paylocity Suite. They have experience leading and scaling a team, highly organized and detail oriented, and demonstrate strong collaborative and problem-solving skills. They are resourceful and resilient and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This role significantly influences across functionary areas such as Payroll, Time, HR, Benefits and Tech Services. A key element of the role is identifying need and advocating for solutions.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Hire, develop and lead a team of high performing Implementation Project Managers
  • Coach team members on developing strategies for partnering with internal and external partners to ensure a timely and effective multi product implementation, and successful system handoff to our customers
  • Responsible for the effective & efficient end-to-end customer implementation project management process specifically: development and improvement of implementation project management systems and documentation, escalation management and strategies to help the team meet their goals related to launch readiness and launch success
  • Serve as the main point of contact for cross-functional communications, questions and issues related to launch, liaise cross-functionally to resolve issues, and identify process improvement opportunities and build and refine launch processes, tools and systems
  • Manage operations on behalf of your team including recruiting, training, capacity and customer feedback, including requests for enhancements to our implementation process
  • Monitor and analyze customer and team performance to make informed decisions about operational and procedural changes.
  • Support customer-facing calls and escalations as needed to assist the team executing on launches
  • Support Sales teams in the pre-sales process and assist in closing complex client sales
  • Responsible for identifying client’s system needs and pursuing development changes within the application
  • Align team objectives to support the Paylocity Implementation strategy.
  • Develop standard Project Management processes to ensure excellent communication, setting of expectations, adherence to timelines and overall success of projects.
  • Ensure Project Managers meet all compliance requirements for Implementation projects.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for cross-functional communications, questions and issues related to launch, liaise cross-functionally to resolve issues, and identify process improvement opportunities, and build and refine launch processes, tools and systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience

  • Four to seven years of project management experience in a human capital management, payroll, or similar industry, preferably in a SaaS multi-client environment.
  • Has comprehensive understanding of the Paylocity Implementation process, or equivalent experience.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (CAPM) is preferred.
  • Capacity to think of new ways to tackle problems and streamline productivity.
  • Strong commitment to excellence.
  • Presentation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading people and teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of program and project management principles, practices, and tools.
  • Sound, strategic thinker with a track record of demonstrating good judgement, strong business acumen, and executing plans with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience facilitating the creation of project metrics and establishing a method of tracking.
  • Physical requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.
  • Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.

The base pay range for this position is $93,600 - $115,000 /yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
