Job description

Provide engineer support and project management for a wide variety of large and complex program onboardings to achieve successful completion and delivery of projects within scope, schedule and budget.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Partner with pre-sales to design the scope on customized programs and be the communication between operations and the pre-sales team to align capabilities
  • Review all contracts for operational viability and confirmation of operational costs
  • Support cost model development with pre-sales, ensuring all operational costs are captured in the model
  • Own SOW and cost model review and approval with stakeholders and ensuring absolute accuracy to the client deliverables
  • Provide leadership a risk assessment prior to SOW signature for all programs directly owned by you and your team
  • Launch and run the toll gate strategy and include client customizations as necessary
  • Develop the program implementation strategy with Sr. Managers by documenting process maps, RACIs, keeping a log on all action items and holding stakeholders accountable for their actions and deadlines
  • Determining POC design for the program and understand when the organization needs to test end to end processes vs when the organization needs a standard POC
  • Responsible for identifying risks and helping implementation engineers on their risks and mitigation plans and when necessary providing a completed staff work to leadership
  • Ensure a proper hand off between onboarding and the steady state program operations inclusive of:  TAM training, finalized program process map delivery, run rate program RACI, sales order structure requirements, after action review & optimization opportunity review and a completed and approved POC
  • Actively seek to improve processes, find and drive efficiencies across all programs, with a continuous goal of reducing cost and enabling a positive client experience
  • Consistently demonstrate and model key organizational behaviors of customer service, teamwork, collaboration and excellence
  • Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff
  • Establishes a professional relationship with the customer and interfaces constantly to maintain accurate status reports and project reviews
  • Own and manage POCs while designing and developing technical work instructions
  • Provide overview and engagement where needed for Infrastructure services in all areas needed: storage networking, Operating System, network security, directory services, server virtualization using system backup and restore, system and network monitoring, application installation and configuration
  • Partner with Professional Services Team for infrastructure implementation
  • Responsible for the team’s developmental goals and departmental level action plans
  • Joint ownership of complex project  build out with Sr. PM
  • Joint ownership of tollgate changes and optimizations
  • Escalation management from the sales team and providing readouts to leadership
  • Responsible for the AAR for program onboarding
  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours as required
  • Ownership of the internal weekly status meeting, ensuring feedback and continuous improvement is being followed by all teammates
  • Partnering with your team on developing content for executive level status updates on onboardings
  • Responsible for ensuring teammates follow best practices and proper procedures for onboarding

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.  Position requires 3-4 years hands on experience within similar industry.  Familiarity with the following systems desirable:  Windows, Cisco Systems, UNIX, Linux, Novell.  Must be able to work with both ends of basic level testing as well as high level testing and documentation.
  • Hands on experience with Wired and Wireless networking, PC and server virtualization software, virus protection, backup systems.
  • Excellent organization, communication, negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Strong Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Project
  • Strong Analytical skills such as being able to extract data, organize it, utilize it to make key business decisions and communicate/present it throughout the organization
  • Proven understanding of corporate account business needs and knowledge of the IT industry
  • A deep project management experience and broad technology knowledge with the ability to facilitate the architecting of solutions by mapping common customer business problems to reusable end-to-end solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level business and technology decision maker discussions
