Job Title: IT Project Manager (ERP Implementation)

Location: Garland, TX (Greater Dallas area)

The position requires a skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of Deltek Costpoint ERP across our organization. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in managing large‑scale ERP implementations, with at least one Deltek Costpoint implementation or migration. This role requires a deep understanding of Costpoint’s modules, with a focus on manufacturing and project‑based accounting, along with compliance with government contracting requirements.

Our Deltek Costpoint conversion project is in the planning and early design stage. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the continued planning, and then executing, and overseeing all aspects of the implementation. Our Garland TX facility is our main manufacturing facility. After go‑live, the focus will turn to post implementation actions, maintenance and improvements. This role requires an ability to influence and collaborate with cross‑functional teams, third‑party vendors, and key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery on time and within scope is necessary for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End‑to‑End Project Management:
    • Lead the full lifecycle of Deltek Costpoint ERP implementation, including planning, configuration, testing, training, deployment.
    • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, milestones, timelines, risk management, and resource allocation.
    • Define and document project requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives and optimum use of the system capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Serve as the main point of contact between stakeholders (internal and external) and the implementation team. Lead the internal team currently managing the project.
    • Regularly update senior leadership on project status, potential risks, and progress.
    • Work closely with operations, finance, HR, and IT teams to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration with other business systems.
  • Lead and manage cross‑functional project teams.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to ensure team members are focused on delivering key objectives.
  • Vendor and Resource Management:
    • Coordinate with external vendors and consultants for software customization, integration, and support.
    • Ensure resources are effectively utilized and costs are managed in line with budgetary constraints.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Address and resolve issues promptly to avoid disruptions to project timelines.
  • Support post implementation and continuous improvement actions.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance:
    • Oversee system testing (unit, integration, user acceptance) and manage defect resolution.
    • Ensure that the solution meets all functional, technical, and compliance requirements before go‑live.
  • Training and Change Management:
    • Develop and implement appropriate training programs for end‑users to better ensure successful adoption.
    • Support organizational change management by preparing teams for process and system changes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in an associated field; Plus, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience managing/leading a large-scale ERP implementation project.
  • Implementation and migration experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP.
  • Self‑starter that will work independently in time‑sensitive environment. Ability to multitask in a stressful and fast paced environment with specific deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; capable of influencing and directing work to achieve results.
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Uses good judgement and has sound decision making and problem‑solving skills.
  • Acts with integrity, works collaboratively, meets commitments, and strives to continually improve and streamline processes.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Program/Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Other Requirements:
  • Travel: 10-20% to other Paligen locations.
  • US Person/Background Investigation / Drug Screen: Required.
