The Project Manager serves as the leader of the project team and is responsible for all aspects of project execution, including safety, budget, schedule, fabrication, quality, and customer satisfaction. Acting as the primary Elessent contact for clients and equipment suppliers, this role manages both technical and commercial matters while collaborating closely with all departments within Elessent Clean Technologies to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors, ensuring clear communication, scope alignment, and timely issue resolution.
  • Develop and implement project execution strategies, including contingency plans for potential challenges.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional engineering team meetings and ensure consistent communication across stakeholders.
  • Oversee monthly project reporting and present progress and performance updates in quarterly leadership reviews.
  • Approve project requisitions, ensuring accuracy and alignment with defined scope and budget.
  • Manage vendor scope, quality, and schedule, and support manufacturing activities both in-shop and in the field as required.
  • In partnership with accounting, ensure timely and accurate client invoices in line with contractual payment terms.
  • Review and approve vendor and subcontractor payments.
  • Identify and lead the development of Contract Variation Orders (CVOs), including cost and schedule impacts, and negotiate client approval.
  • Conduct post-project reviews, ensuring effective closeout and documentation of lessons learned.
  • Provide feedback to Marketing and Business Development teams on project execution strategies and coordination practices.
  • Support proposal development efforts as proposal manager or contributor when required.
  • Collaborate with Elessent’s global execution team and fabrication network to optimize project delivery.

Key Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical engineering is required.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in project management of engineering or equipment-based projects.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience managing projects involving industrial fabrication is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging diverse project teams and clients.
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects at varying stages of execution.
  • Technically proficient and able to engage confidently with engineers, vendors, and clients.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and drive value creation opportunities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel globally as required (approximately 4–8 trips per year).
  • Experience working effectively across different cultures and international markets.
