Job description

As a member of the Redevelopment Project Team and reporting to the Director of Redevelopment Projects, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for Furniture and Equipment planning and implementation as well as the coordination of multiple/simultaneous medium/small scale hospital facility redevelopment and new build projects. They will work with clinical and non-clinical users and other program stakeholders; working collaboratively with other members of the redevelopment team and external consultants alike; creation of budgets and equipment lists; project communications and reporting; project scheduling from the functional planning stage through to contract completion, monitoring and reporting on all financial metrics; performing quality management responsibilities, cross-functional responsibilities; and Operational Readiness activities consistent with the job classification as assigned and/or
requested. The coordinator will assist the Project Managers as needed.

1. Completion of a University degree/diploma in construction science, design, architecture, engineering or equivalent
2. Minimum Five (5) years related experience working on health related capital projects
3. PMP (Project Management Professional) Designation is preferred
4. Previous experience participating in delivery of healthcare projects with a strong understanding of hospital
operations, and furniture and equipment planning.
5. Ability to effectively monitor budgets and execute project plans with stringent timelines
6. Ability to relate to and work with employees at all levels of the organization, including senior leaders
7. Demonstrated proficiency in time management, ability to work effectively under time pressure to meet deadlines, balance work priorities and resolve problems in a timely manner
8. Proficiency in computers including AutoCad, Microsoft Project, Outlook, Word and Excel
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal and customer service skills
10. Excellent organizational and analytical skills
