Job description

About Leap
Leap is one of the fastest-growing benefits solutions and a category-defining pioneer in employer specialty pharmacy. We are reshaping how life-changing therapies are delivered and financed, ensuring patients get the treatment they need while employers finally get a fair deal.
Specialty drugs and infusions represent nearly 10% of all healthcare spend and are the fastest-growing cost category for employers. Leap tackles this challenge with a novel approach: eliminating hidden markups, expanding access to high-quality infusion providers, and bringing clarity and fairness to how therapies are priced and paid for.
We're proud to partner with numerous Fortune 500 companies and leading TPAs. Each patient we serve creates immediate ROI: lower costs, improved access, and better care. Join us as we redefine what's possible in specialty care.
About the role
Leap is seeking a Senior Technical Implementation Manager to lead platform configurations, integrations, and technical implementation initiatives. This role bridges the gap between technical execution and client success. You'll oversee end-to-end technical implementations-from requirements gathering and SFTP file setup and validation through go-live, while also identifying opportunities for automation, scalability, and process improvement.
The ideal candidate is both technically proficient and client-oriented, able to translate complex requirements into seamless solutions. You'll partner cross-functionally with clinical, operations, data, and client success to ensure implementations are delivered on time, error-free, and in alignment with Leap Health's commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Configuration
  • Lead end-to-end technical onboarding of new clients, from scoping through go-live.
  • Configure platform setups, SFTP connections, and eligibility, claims, and prior authorization files.
  • Manage QA of configurations and file processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Support customer relaunches, expansions, and platform updates.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for clients and their vendor partners during onboarding.
  • Translate client requirements into scalable, repeatable solutions.
  • Build strong client relationships by proactively addressing technical issues and providing clear communication.
  • Create and maintain internal documentation (PRDs, SOPs, playbooks).

Process Improvement & Scalability
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities across file processing, data ingestion, and reporting.
  • Partner with engineering and operations to improve workflows and reduce manual interventions.
  • Lead remediation efforts for technical failures (root cause analysis, communication, fix validation).
  • Support Leap's growth by standardizing technical implementation processes.

Success Metrics / Key KPIs
  • On-time, accurate launches of client implementations.
  • High client satisfaction scores on technical delivery.
  • Reduced implementation errors and downstream processing issues.
  • Increased automation of eligibility/claims/prior authorization files and configuration processes.
  • Completion of department initiatives that improve scalability.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5+ years in technical implementation, SaaS delivery, or technical operations (healthcare/healthtech strongly preferred), ideally at a startup.
  • Strong understanding of ETL pipelines, API Integrations, HIPAA & SOC 2 compliance, SSO, PHI encryption, SQL, and data ingestion processes.
  • Experience with file transfer protocols (SFTP), eligibility data, claims data, prior authorizations, and healthcare integrations.
  • Prior client-facing experience in technical account management, project management (PMP certified), and implementation.
  • Familiarity with project management and CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot, Salesforce, Asana).

What we're looking for
  • Analytical mindset; adept at diagnosing data and integration issues.
  • Excellent communicator able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple concurrent implementations.
  • Independent, resourceful, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Mission-driven with a passion for transforming U.S. healthcare.

Compensation and benefits
  • Competitive salary and equity
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Flexible remote work environment
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement as Leap grows
