Job description

This position has the following responsibilities: design or improve upon all purchasing, logistics and inventory management processes for the Erie plant. The Supply Chain Manager acts as a conduit between corporate and the operations facility to implement inventory management and purchasing programs.  Works with corporate and operations personnel to establish supply agreements for raw material, scrap material, direct material components and indirect material, including MRO. Accountability to achieve on-time customer and supplier deliveries, inventory levels of raw material, WIP and finished goods and plan levels, and supplier quality (PPM) performance.  Assure the uninterrupted availability of goods and services and freight movement throughout the business cycle to assure our competitive position in the marketplace.  Implement programs to achieve CI cost savings initiatives. Plan and programs must be strategically, operationally, and tactically aligned with business drivers, performance objectives and change management initiatives.
