Job Description

Air is looking for a motivated, curious, and data-driven individual to join our team as an Implementation Engineer. We need a technical force multiplier who possesses a quantitative mindset and a firm understanding of how to use technology and data to solve hard customer problems. You are a self-starter with an absolute intolerance of mediocrity; you have a passion for great work and nothing less than your best will do.

As an Implementation Engineer, you are a scrappy problem-solver who can roll up your sleeves alongside our engagement teams to deliver impact. You aren't just a technical configuration specialist; you are a trusted advisor to our clients, acting as the expert in the "so what" by translating complex datasets into actionable, mission-critical insights for senior national security leaders. You are challenged by figuring things out in unpredictable environments, and you know how to engage in constructive dialogue to find the absolute best path forward.

This is a full time position and the role will be based in our Arlington, VA Headquarters. It may require travel up to 30%.

Scope of Responsibilities
  • Develop expertise in Air's clients, offerings, and data, and support customers as a Air product and data expert
  • Execute the successful implementation of software and data to Air's customers and provide platform training
  • Use coding languages to conduct technical platform configuration and data integration
  • Collaborate with Air Engagement Managers and Product Managers to capture Air demand and user needs for inclusion into Air's offerings
  • Proactively drive utilization of the product using targeted training and engagement strategies that drive mission outcomes and analytical insights for platform users
  • Conduct research and develop quantitative analytic reports and data visualizations using Air technology and data
  • Verbally and visually present data-driven findings concisely and compellingly to internal teams as well as government officials
  • Demonstrate knowledge in areas such as US Government programs, federal acquisitions, Supply Chain Risk Management, and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) analysis
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Security Clearance: Must possess an active U.S. Secret-level security clearance at a minimum
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, International Relations, Political Science, International Security or similar fields, or 1-4 years of equivalent experience
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree from a top-tier university
  • Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills, with a willingness to work outside of your comfort zone in a fast-paced environment without hesitation
  • Strong aptitude for solving open-ended issues in unpredictable, unstructured environments
Desired Skills:
  • Background in strategic munitions or nuclear programs related to the Department of War
  • 2–6 years of relevant experience performing national security-related analytics, with strong data manipulation and visualization skills
  • Some proficiency and regular development experience with SQL and Python, or demonstrable technical experience in another object-oriented programming language
  • Experience in or exposure to the nuances of a startup or other entrepreneurial environment
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in user support or user engagement with a focus on platform and product utilization
  • Knowledge of the defense acquisition life cycle, program management, technology scouting, and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes
  • Experience within advisory services, software-as-a-service (SaaS), or data analytics industries
  • History of engaging with and presenting data-driven insights to federal Government stakeholder
