The Job At-A-Glance:
Q2 is seeking a Senior Implementation Engineer to join our Risk & Fraud Management Service Delivery team, responsible for delivering complex financial institution transformation initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, core conversions, and platform migrations. This role is critical to ensuring Q2's solutions are accurately designed, configured, and implemented to support seamless client transitions during high-impact events.
In this role, you will work with highly configurable, multi-platform solutions that require strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and adaptability. You will navigate complex financial institution environments, partnering closely with project managers, internal teams, and clients to ensure configurations, integrations, and data mappings are executed with precision and aligned to critical conversion timelines.
As Q2 continues to expand the use of automation and AI-enabled capabilities across our products and implementation processes, you will leverage emerging technologies to improve delivery efficiency, enhance client outcomes, and support scalable implementation practices. You will also play a key role during conversion events, which may include weekend go-lives - executing runbooks, validating configurations, troubleshooting issues, and providing production support through project completion.
A Typical Day:
  • Partner with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements and direct the configuration duties
  • Develop and perform quality assurance check points within your team to ensure quality and timely delivery
  • Problem-solve routine to complex issues
  • Create and implement tools that increase quality, security and productivity
  • Track status and provide updates in relation to overall implementation process
  • Execute and validate database merges, deconversions, and data migrations aligned to merger and conversion timelines
  • Author and maintain runbooks used during conversion events

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here's What We're Looking For:
  • Typically requires a bachelor's Degree in related field and 8+ years of experience
  • Strong MS SQL skills: Understanding of DB Design and TSQL query language as related to Enterprise software configuration, installation and debugging
  • Configuration and deployment experience with Web Services
  • Data migration experience a plus
  • Familiarity with cloud hosting environments (Azure, AWS) preferred; VMware experience also applicable
  • Experience with Python and other scripting languages
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail, exceptional follow-through, the ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • A relentlessly positive disposition
  • Excellent people and teamwork skills with a drive for ownership of activities with a focus on successful completion
  • Ability to train individuals 1-on-1 and in a classroom environment
