Job description

Account Manager

Omaha Steel Casting (Owen Industries) – Wahoo, NE | Full-Time | Exempt | [Compensation TBD]

Own Your Accounts. Drive Real Growth. Build Relationships That Last.

At Omaha Steel Casting, our customers aren't just accounts — they're long-term partners who count on us to deliver precision castings, responsive service, and solutions that keep their operations running. We're looking for an Account Manager who takes that responsibility seriously.

This is a role for a relationship builder and strategic thinker — someone who can manage a focused portfolio of 10–12 key accounts, identify growth opportunities, and work cross-functionally to make sure every customer commitment is met. If you thrive on ownership, accountability, and building trust with people who expect nothing less than excellence, you'll fit right in here.

What You'll Do

Account Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of 10–12 named key accounts, managing relationships from day-to-day service through long-term strategic planning
  • Proactively assess and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis — anticipating issues before they become problems
  • Lead account planning that sets performance objectives, financial targets, and milestones on a one and three-year horizon
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction and ensure the timely, successful delivery of Omaha Steel Casting solutions

Sales Growth

  • Meet and exceed assigned targets for profitable sales volume within your key accounts
  • Identify and prospect new opportunities within defined market verticals
  • Lead solution development efforts that address customer needs, coordinating internal resources across Engineering, Quality, Operations, Accounting, and Management
  • Support the Business Development Director on key account strategy, project plans, and implementations

Reporting & Communication

  • Capture all customer and prospect communications accurately within the CRM
  • Provide regular tracking and reporting on leads, open opportunities, account activity, and sales bookings
  • Deliver clear updates on monthly and quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Execute against Key Performance Indicators consistently and transparently

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in account management, B2B sales, or a related field — or a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or Communications
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, machining, or industrial sales strongly preferred; casting or foundry industry experience is a plus but not required
  • Proven ability to manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts with measurable results
  • Strong project management skills — you can juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and keep stakeholders informed without dropping the ball
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools
  • Exceptional communicator — clear, organized, and professional in writing, on the phone, and in person
  • Comfortable with 20–30% travel to customer sites
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal oversight
  • A natural relationship-builder with strong interpersonal skills and a consistently professional demeanor
