Job description

Looking for a first-shift leadership role where you can truly make a difference? As a Laser Lead, you'll oversee a wide variety of custom fabrication projects, guide a talented team, and directly influence production performance. Work Schedule: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Monday-Friday


Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership to Flat Laser, Tube Laser, and Deburr operators
  • Operate Flat and Tube Laser equipment as needed, including setups and changeovers
  • Direct daily work assignments and balance workload across available equipment
  • Ensure parts meet drawing, quality, and customer specifications
  • Train, mentor, and cross-train operators across laser processes
  • Coordinate with Production Control, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to keep jobs flowing
  • Monitor machine utilization, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime
  • Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment using 5S principles
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce scrap, waste, and setup time


We are looking for someone with:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of laser manufacturing experience
  • Experience operating both Flat and Tube Laser equipment
  • Strong blueprint and GD&T reading skills
  • Previous leadership or lead experience preferred
  • Experience with nesting software and ERP/MRP systems (JobBOSS preferred) a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills
