Job Description

About the Team: The Quality Intern at ZF in Marysville, MI will be a member of the Quality team supporting the production of axle drive systems for Stellantis. This full-time, year round role assists with daily quality operations, including monitoring compliance to quality procedures, participating in quality audits, managing non conforming material areas, and tracking and analyzing causes for rejected gears through the Met Lab. The intern will also support document control activities and contribute to special quality and engineering projects, with a strong emphasis on digitalization and data-driven improvement. This position plays an important role in developing, maintaining, and modernizing plant quality systems while supporting key Quality-related KPIs across the facility.

What you can look forward to as a Quality Intern:

  • Provide support for Document Control System (OMDS; Online Managed Document System). 
  • Provide support for Quality Management System in accordance with ISO/TS 16949 as well as for Layered Process Audit (LPA) system.
  • Provide support for coordinating action items related to internal and external quality concerns.
  • Auditing control of non-conforming products.  
  • Enter purchase requisitions in SAP.
  • Provide support for Product & Process Engineering for warranty review and / or line audits.
  • Assist with continuous improvement activities in the plant. 

Your profile as a Quality Intern:

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) required and currently enrolled in college.
  • Strong computer skills required; candidate must be proficient in MS-Office Suite, with proficient understanding of MS Excel in Macros and formulas. 
  • Must be quality oriented and pay attention to detail. 
  • Must be self-motivated, with ability to prioritize and accept direction from multiple sources. 
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work in a team environment. 
  • Must be flexible to work off-shift hours when necessary, as Marysville is a 3-shift operation. 
  • Must be available to work overtime on days and/or weekends when necessary.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
