Job Description

Global Immigration Legal Team is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Paralegal with experience in employment-based immigration, specifically PERM and employment-based permanent residency (EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, I-140, AOS) processes, as well as religious worker nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting with both nonimmigrant religious worker petitions, including Form I-129, and immigrant religious worker petitions, including Form I-360, and understand the documentation and case-management requirements associated with these matters.

The ideal candidate will work closely with attorneys, HR partners, and foreign national employees to support the preparation, filing, and ongoing management of employment-based immigration matters. Weโ€™re looking for a paralegal who can work well on their own but also thrives in a relaxed, supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare draft PERM Form ETA-9089 applications for attorney review, including working with employers to obtain job descriptions, drafting prevailing wage requests for attorney review, and assisting with the preparation of audit response packets.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of employment-based green card cases (EB-1, EB-2, EB-3), including I-140 immigrant petitions and I-485 adjustment of status filings.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing documentation for prevailing wage requests, recruitment steps, and labor certification filings.
  • Assist with the preparation and management of religious worker nonimmigrant petitions, including Form I-129, and religious worker immigrant petitions, including Form I-360.
  • Coordinate and organize supporting documentation for religious worker cases, including beneficiary, employer, organizational, and position-related documentation.
  • Communicate with clients, HR teams, religious organizations, and beneficiaries to gather required information and maintain accurate case records.
  • Track deadlines, monitor case progress, and ensure timely completion of all filings.
  • Maintain organized digital case files and update internal case management systems.
  • Conduct research on immigration regulations, USCIS and DOL updates, and case strategy issues as needed.
  • Support attorneys with responding to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny, and PERM audits.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in employment-based immigration, with demonstrated knowledge of PERM and related immigrant petition filings.
  • Experience with religious worker immigration matters, including both nonimmigrant religious worker petitions (I-129) and immigrant religious worker petitions (I-360), strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. immigration regulations, processes, and legal terminology.
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and client-service skills.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or paralegal certificate preferred.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package, starting salary at 70k with compensation negotiable based on experience.
  • Opportunity to work with a collaborative, supportive legal team.
  • Professional development and training opportunities.
  • Hybrid work options available after 1 year of employment.
