We are recruiting for the following position:

Dental Assistant III (Lead/Clinic Coordinator) - Sea Mar Community Health Centers

Sea Mar is seeking a Dental Assistant III / Lead Dental Assistant to support dental providers and assist with clinic coordination, staff training, patient flow, supply inventory, and equipment maintenance. This role includes leadership responsibilities and ensures exceptional patient experience and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry across a full range of dental procedures
  • Lead and support back-office staff training, scheduling, and workflow
  • Oversee patient flow, reduce bottlenecks, and ensure excellent customer service
  • Maintain sterilization, OSHA compliance, and equipment maintenance
  • Manage supply inventory, ordering, and emergency kit logs
  • Support insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and patient treatment planning
  • Assist supervisors with policy implementation, performance monitoring, and quality improvement

Qualifications

  • Dental Assistant Registration with Washington State DOH required
  • Completion of formal Dental Assistant program or 3+ years experience
  • Minimum 2 years dental assisting experience (or 3+ years without formal training)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • BLS CPR required within 90 days of hire; TB testing annually
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
