Job description

Surgical Scrub Technician | Travel/Contract | 13-weeks assignment
  • Location: Rochester, NY 14626
  • Shift: 10-hour Evening Shift (Monday-Friday)
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Weekly Pay Rate: $1440 - $1600

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures, ensuring proper handling of instruments.
  • Maintain sterile technique and anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
  • Assist in preparing and draping patients for surgery.
  • Handle surgical specimens and ensure proper labeling.
  • Adhere to infection control and patient safety guidelines.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Surgical Scrub Technician.
  • Certifications: Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and hold a current BLS certification.
  • Specialty Experience: Must be comfortable assisting in total joint replacement cases.
  • Required Expertise: Experience in Ortho, Neuro, Robotic, GYN, Urology, General, and Vascular surgeries.

Travel & Local Considerations:

  • Candidates outside a 50-mile radius qualify for travel pay.
