Brighter Tomorrow Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) for a remote full-time position based in Roseburg, Oregon. This position focuses on providing therapeutic interventions that foster community stabilization for our program participants. As a mental health counselor, you will engage with clients in a manner that fosters trust and encourages open communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize crisis de-escalation techniques effectively to support individuals in distress and to enhance their immediate stability during crises.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop safety plans, ensuring documentation is completed the same day for individuals identified as at risk of crisis interventions.
  • Provide timely completion of critical incident reporting within 24 hours when necessary, and maintain communication protocols to support participant safety.
  • Participate in after-hours care coordination on an alternating basis, being available to assist with crisis management and support needs.
  • Implement proactive measures to help participants avoid crisis situations by establishing clear communication and building supportive relationships.
  • Document and maintain crisis alerts to facilitate coordination with county crisis services, ensuring a seamless support continuum for participants.
  • Coordinate hospital or inpatient service transitions as needed, working collaboratively with hospital staff and ensuring clear communication during discharge processes.
  • Perform additional duties as required to contribute to overall service quality and participant satisfaction.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes diverse individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and crises that necessitate immediate support. You will engage with participants of all ages, utilizing culturally competent approaches tailored to meet their unique needs. By fostering a supportive environment, you will empower clients to make their own choices and take active steps toward achieving their mental health goals.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctorate degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or social work from an accredited institution (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD).
  • An independent mental health license in the state of Oregon (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC) is required.
  • Proficient understanding of crisis intervention techniques and mental health best practices, enabling effective assessment and support for individuals in crisis situations.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize educated judgment in high-pressure situations while communicating clearly and effectively with clients and team members.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with a high caseload, showcasing the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively to maintain service quality.
  • A strong aptitude for empathetic listening and the ability to motivate clients to actively engage in their treatment plans.
