Role Overview :
Position provides professional level of electrical service support. Under minimal supervision, carries out design, analysis, and related duties involving the installation, operation, maintenance, modification and repair of company and/or customer products and equipment with specialization in electrical systems.
Work Environment : Saline, MI Onsite M-F with expected travel, weekends and OT
Key Responsibilities :
  • Understands and properly performs all mechanical, electrical and controls adjustments on equipment.
  • Troubleshoots technical problems and issues; determines appropriate solutions and performs electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs to complex machinery and Equipment.
  • Able to assist in diagnosing advanced electrical/controls issues in the field.
  • Troubleshoots and provides mutually beneficial resolutions to customer concerns.
  • Reads, understands, and interprets mechanical, electrical, pneumatic drawing, schematics and diagrams.
  • Provide Start-up/ launch assistance for new equipment being installed at customer and home sites.
  • Acts as a liaison between customer, sales and engineering to resolving issues while providing support for all routine issues.
  • Follows all IMI, NAS and Customer safety guidelines including utilization of proper PPE.
  • Follows proper operating procedures and maintains proper records in accordance within plant management system.
  • Attends customer site reviews to gather press and process information and provide guidance in meeting internal and external customer specifications and standards.
  • Works closely with designers and engineers to produce robust automation design that fit within the customer's parameters and limits of product line.
  • Performs Design work when necessary.
  • Support sales in the identification and analysis of potential customer projects.
  • Travel upon request, 25% of time.
  • Able to respond to customer calls during off hours and weekends.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Critical Competencies for Success:
Education and Experience
  • Associates Degree and 2 years of experience or High School Diploma and 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Solid understanding of electronics.

Computers and Technology
  • Strong skills in PLC programming.
  • CAD skills
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Project and Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

Pay range: $48-$52/hr
Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
