Full-time & Part-time barista/cashier positions are now being filled at our IGC Coffee Zon Cafes located in the Indiana Government Center. Shifts available Monday - Friday 6:30am - 4:30pm / 6:30am - 2:30pm (shifts vary).


Closed Weekends & Holidays!


The barista prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee, espresso, tea and smoothie drinks in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner. Barista's are responsible for educating guests on our drink menus, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. As a cashier, you are responsible for processing cash, debit and credit card transactions on a point-of-sale system. Cashiers balance the cash drawer, make change and enter purchases. Customer service skills are required. Starting rate up to $16.00 an hour, PLUS tips! If you are looking for a fun, fast paced environment this is the opportunity for you!!

Requirements

  • Arrives in proper uniform and adheres to all grooming standards.
  • Sets up station according to cafe guidelines.
  • Prepares all beverages as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
  • Follows portion control and presentation specifications as set by the cafe.
  • Restocks all items as needed throughout shift.
  • Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
  • Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station.
  • Acts as the front line customer service representative, smiling, greeting customers, ringing their order in a fast, hospitable manner and creating a lasting impression.
  • Demonstrates hospitality, respect and kindness toward customers and fellow team members.
  • Merchandise products, check for quality, ensures presentation and restocks.
  • Provides service that is fast, timely and accurate by communicating, organizing tasks, and teamwork (assisting other barista's with customers).
  • Suggestive sells and keeps customers informed and aware of products, promotions and other services.
  • Follows all cash handling procedures as outlined.
  • Assists in financial accountability by correctly recording orders, receiving/giving change, and counting the drawer.
  • Thanks the customers and invite them to return.
  • Acts as a role model with customers and staff, and helps provide on-the-job training for new barista/cashier.
  • Works with others in a team to support operations, standards and concept essence.
  • Has the ability to deal with changes.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and "listening" skills.
  • Demonstrates a passion for hospitality and coffee.
  • Willingness to assist in other tasks when asked.
  • Prior barista, cashier and CSR experience preferred but not required.
