Job description

IES Electrical is looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator for work in Nebraska. Office locations include Kearney, Grand Island, Norfolk and Holdrege.
As an Electrical Estimator, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate, competitive bids that support our projects from concept to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
โ€ข Estimating commercial and industrial projects (plan/spec, design-build, and design-assist).
โ€ข Applying best practices and established estimating procedures.
โ€ข Coordinating project scopes with local and national codes.
โ€ข Working closely with material suppliers and subcontractors.
โ€ข Managing requests for information (RFIs) throughout the bidding process.
โ€ข Reviewing and qualifying quotes for specialized materials and subcontractor work.
โ€ข Preparing proposal letters, bid forms and turnover packages on awarded projects.
โ€ข Interacting with customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
โ€ข Recent experience or education in electrical field work, estimating, or engineering.
โ€ข Working knowledge of blueprints, specifications, applicable codes, and regulations.
โ€ข Able to work in one of our Nebraska offices.
โ€ข Strong computer skills, including the ability to work efficiently with estimating software.
โ€ข Effective verbal and written communication skills.
โ€ข Must successfully pass a post-offer background check, drug test and motor vehicle record check.
