Burris Laboratory School is looking for substitute teachers on an as needed basis for the upcoming school year.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

What you'll do and what you'll bring:

Position Function:

Burris Laboratory School is looking for substitute teachers on an as needed basis for the upcoming school year.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow lesson plans left by the teacher.

  • Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.

  • Establish and maintain order in the classroom.

  • Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning.

  • Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment, and facilities.

  • Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules.

  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 years of education beyond High School.

  • Experience working with children.
