Job description

Join Our Team as an Inventory Control Specialist!
First Shift: Sunday- Thursday 4:00 pm to 12:30am
Hourly rate: $18 to $20
Purpose of This Position: As an Inventory Control Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of our inventory and maintaining product quality. Your daily and weekly tasks will involve counting inventory, analyzing discrepancies, and communicating with management to make sure everything is in order.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Count and analyze inventory, noting any discrepancies and informing management of any issues.
  • Keep inventory organized and accurate.
  • Help resolve customer issues related to inventory, such as shortages or damages.
  • Set up items and storage areas to make shipping and receiving more efficient.
  • Monitor our warehouse management system for any outstanding invoices.
  • Use technology like an RF gun to select products.
  • Maintain and update inventory records as per our SOP program.
  • Operate the warehouse management system.
  • Check and rotate product stock as needed.
  • Report daily counts accurately.
  • Be able to lift cases weighing 40 to 50 pounds.
  • Keep track of damaged products and report them daily.
  • Communicate with managers and supervisors regularly.
  • Be willing to work in cooler and freezer environments.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and suggest solutions.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
  • Previous inventory experience is a plus.
  • Experience with stand-up and reach forklifts preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English instructions.
  • Good communication skills for interacting with customers and coworkers.
  • Basic math skills and computer literacy.
  • Must be well-organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional attitude and ability to work independently.
  • Must pass pre-employment testing, including physical ability tests.
