Innovative Consulting & Management Services (ICMS) is a Professional & Technical Management Consulting firm with over 20 years of consulting experience. We offer technical professional services to Federal and State Governments, and Commercial clients.

Our success is about teamwork, a coordinated effort from all disciplines, from clients to consultants, and most important, it is about delivering on our commitments.

The General Maintenance Trades Helper will be responsible for assisting skilled maintenance tradesmen with general duties within the operations and maintenance programs utilized at the facility.


Other duties include (but are not limited to):


  • Gather and handle tools
  • Clean and maintain work areas and equipment
  • Assist with the repairs and maintenance to various components of critical equipment serving HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, systems
  • Paint (indoor/outdoor)
  • Grounds maintenance (general maintenance and possible snow removal)
  • Furniture assembly and repair
  • Hang and/or mount TV’s, boards, and pictures
  • Change fixtures (ex: light bulbs, faucets)
  • Assist with maintaining inventory of tools and equipment as required by trade.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on non-critical equipment as assigned by a skilled tradesman or member of management staff.
  • Maintain grounds by removing trash and cleaning up any debris left on or near construction zones.
  • Respond to service calls.


Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required technical training.
  • Experience in commercial or federal building operations and facilities maintenance.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
  • Proficient in using tools for diagnostics, repair, and system monitoring.
  • Working knowledge of BAS/BMS systems (e.g., Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret building plans, equipment manuals, and safety procedures.
  • Must have a valid state driver's license (with no major infractions).
  • US Citizenship required and ability to pass a government clearance.

Desired Licenses and Certifications

· Forklift/ equipment operator license


Physical Requirements

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces.

· Able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

· Required to be on-call or respond to after-hours emergencies as scheduled.


Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, it may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.


Security Clearance

It is mandatory that all Contractor personnel working onsite at federal facilities meet federal government security clearance standards. ICMS shall submit security clearance information for each employee, as required by current government identification card application procedures and future requirements as applicable.

Job Type - Full-time (Monday-Friday, 7:00 to 3:30pm) and On Call/ Emergency Support

Pay Rate: $20.27/hour
