Who This Role Is For

We are NOT just looking for someone to โ€œhelp out.โ€

We are looking for a hands-on leader who:

  • Takes pride in running a clean, organized, high-energy store

  • Leads by example and holds others accountable

  • Doesnโ€™t wait to be told what to do

  • Can step in and run the shift independently

If you naturally take ownership and notice what others missโ€”this role is for you.

What We Care About Most

At Brusterโ€™s, cleanliness = quality = customer experience

You will be expected to:

  • Maintain a spotless store at all times (front + back of house)

  • Ensure cleaning tasks are completed even during busy shifts

  • Hold team members accountable to cleaning standards

  • Take pride in the appearance of the store like itโ€™s your own

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts and ensure smooth daily operations

  • Train and coach team members

  • Enforce cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards

  • Create and manage weekly schedules

  • Handle inventory and product ordering

  • Ensure high-quality product preparation (ice cream, cakes, pies)

  • Deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues

  • Monitor team performance and maintain accountability

  • Support store growth through local marketing/social media

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Leadership mindset (not just experience)

  • Strong work ethic and sense of ownership

  • High attention to detail (especially cleanliness)

  • Ability to hold others accountable professionally

  • Food service or retail experience preferred

  • Reliable transportation

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and peak hours

ServSafe Manager Certification (Required for Growth)

  • ServSafe Manager Certification is required for this role

  • If not currently certified, you must obtain certification during the training period

We offer reimbursement for certification after:

  • Successful completion and passing score

  • 60โ€“90 days of continued employment

  • Increase to $18โ€“$20/hr after:

    • ServSafe certification completed

    • Demonstrated ability to independently run shifts

    • Consistent leadership and accountability

Pay increases are based on performance, leadership, and ownershipโ€”not just tenure

This role has the potential to grow into a salaried management position with additional benefits based on performance.

This Role Is NOT For Someone Who:

  • Waits to be told what to do

  • Avoids holding others accountable

  • Is okay with โ€œgood enoughโ€ cleanliness

  • Just wants a job instead of a leadership role

Why Join Brusterโ€™s?

  • Fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Opportunity to lead and grow

  • Tips + hourly pay

  • Paid training (including corporate training in Pittsburgh)

Apply Now if You:

  • Take pride in your work

  • Lead by example
