Summary
Manage all aspects of Slater Family Ice Arena social media and additional digital marketing platforms.

Essential Functions
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a social media strategy and supporting graphics for the Slater Family Ice Arena.
  • With guidance from full time staff, develop original content for use on all Slater Family Ice Arena digital platforms (web, social media, email, etc.).
  • Ensure all social media and digital platforms align
  • Develop weekly and monthly content calendar
  • Monitor and evaluate new social media tools, trends and applications to increase social media followers and engagement.
  • Monitor analytics and develop a reporting plan.
  • Identify areas for improvement and strategy for increasing views/likes/follows.
  • Ensure sites remain accessibility compliant and align with University, Athletic, and Slater Family Ice Arena brand guidelines.
  • Convey messages in a meaningful, understanding manner.
  • Attend events as needed to take photos, video and posts.
  • Monitor comments and direct them to full time staff for response.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience managing social media pages (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites) for a business or non-profit organization.
  • Knowledge of social media trends and tools. Ability to research new tools, and implement them.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact well with customers, internal clients, colleagues, and the general public.
  • Knowledge and proficient ability to use all current Adobe Creative Suite software.
  • Basic photography and videography skills; some knowledge of photo and video editing are a plus.
  • Professional, self-motivated and responsible with the ability to act independently, take initiative, and achieve results, often with little direct supervision.

Additional Information
  • This position is comprised of both standard office-type hours and varying hours include evenings and weekends for special events.
