Professionals in IMDG jobs ensure compliance with these regulations, oversee the packaging, labeling, and documentation of dangerous goods, and provide training on safe handling procedures. These positions are vital in shipping, logistics, and freight forwarding companies, helping to prevent accidents and ensure legal compliance during maritime transport.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an IMDG professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as an IMDG professional, you need a comprehensive understanding of hazardous materials regulations, shipping procedures, and international transport laws, often supported by IMDG Code certification. Familiarity with shipment documentation systems, inventory tracking software, and classification tools is typically required.
