Job Summary
As an i9 Sports Referee (Sports Coordinator), you are the face of the game-day experience. You will ensure games are called fairly while actively coaching and mentoring players and volunteer coaches. Your goal is to build strong relationships with parents and participants, ensuring the instructional and fun aspects of the i9 Sports Experience are delivered every single week.
Responsibilities
  • Game Officiating: Manage and referee youth sports games with a focus on fairness, safety, and teaching the rules.
  • Coaching & Mentorship: Empower volunteer coaches to lead effective practice sessions and demonstrate core fundamental skills.
  • Sportsmanship Advocacy: Teach and model i9 Sports' core values and sportsmanship principles to all participants.
  • Game Day Operations: Supervise the overall operation of your designated sport, ensuring it runs smoothly and on time.
  • Customer Service: Provide superior service to parents and players, maintaining a positive and approachable attitude at all times.

Qualifications
  • Communication: Excellent verbal skills and the ability to interact professionally with parents and children.
  • Sport Knowledge: Strong understanding and experience in coaching or playing specific sports (Flag Football, Soccer, Basketball, etc.).
  • Adaptability: A motivated self-starter who can solve problems independently and take charge in various situations.
  • Commitment: Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends and some evenings, for the duration of the 7-week season.
  • Safety First: Constant awareness of the environment to ensure the physical and emotional safety of all players.
