What are i9 forms and who is responsible for completing them?

I-9 forms are official documents required by the U.S. government to verify the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States. Both employers and employees are responsible for completing different sections of the form: employees must provide documentation proving their identity and eligibility to work, while employers must examine these documents and certify their authenticity. The form must be completed for every new hire, regardless of citizenship or nationality, within three days of starting work.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an i9 specialist, and why are they important?
