Job description

Senior SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) Developer
The ideal candidate is a senior SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) developer with strong Java/Spring expertise, SAP CPQ experience, and a proven track record delivering large-scale B2B eCommerce solutions. They are comfortable leading technical discussions, mentoring developers, building integrations, managing releases, and leveraging AI tools to improve development efficiency. In this role, you will partner with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Business Stakeholders, and Development Teams to design, build, integrate, and support enterprise-scale B2B eCommerce solutions. You will play a key role in technical architecture, custom development, system integrations, release management, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), SAP CPQ, Java/Spring development, and enterprise integrations within complex B2B environments.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Solution Design & Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise eCommerce applications using SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris).
  • Deliver scalable, high-quality solutions while actively coding and contributing to development efforts.
  • Optimize, refactor, and enhance existing application code to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Build end-to-end solutions integrating SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP CPQ, SAP ECC, Salesforce (or similar CRM platforms), and external services.
  • Develop and support REST APIs, web services, and integration frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues including performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and application stability concerns.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, API documentation, and integration guides.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and technical design discussions.
  • Lead and conduct code reviews to ensure development standards and best practices are followed.


Release Management & DevOps

  • Own application release cycles and support Agile delivery processes.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, and other Scrum ceremonies.
  • Manage change requests, deployment approvals, and production releases.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure test automation and deployment quality standards.
  • AI-Powered Development & Automation
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Claude AI or similar platforms to improve developer productivity.
  • Create reusable automation skills, development workflows, and knowledge assets that improve team efficiency and governance.
  • Develop and document AI-driven solutions that streamline repetitive development and operational tasks.


Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Mentor developers on Java, Spring, SAP Commerce, and development best practices.
  • Help drive technical direction and identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with UX, Product, Architecture, and Delivery teams to provide exceptional customer experiences.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) development experience.
  • 2+ years of SAP CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of B2B commerce processes and order management workflows.
  • Experience supporting Configure-to-Order (CTO) and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) business models.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing SAP Commerce Cloud solutions.
  • Strong experience defining technical architecture and solution design for enterprise applications.
