Job description

JOB SUMMARY 

The Clinical Operations Residency is a post-graduate program offering experience in MTM program administration. The resident will learn how pharmacists can impact the quality and rising cost of healthcare by providing patient-oriented medication therapy management (MTM) services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain clinical rules for the Insight™ Clinical Engine
  • Implement and maintain clinical programs in accordance with clinical guidelines and CMS regulations
  • Gain experience and be a Clinical liaison in the following areas:
    • Quality assurance
    • Data management
    • Sales and marketing
    • Research
    • Network training and support
  • Co-manage clients from a clinical perspective
    • Attend calls, pull supporting reporting as applicable
    • Assist in delivery of call follow-ups, answer client questions
  • Manage the creation of Feature Interventions
  • Participate in national industry meetings, trade shows, and client visits, as needed
  • Manage the Clinical Task Queue
  • Complete project and present in final analysis at the IPA Annual Meeting  
  • Complete project and present in final analysis at the IPA Advance Practice Forum
  • Develop content and present topic in Clinical Rounds pharmacist training session
  • Demonstrate end-to-end understanding of identification process
  • Demonstrate ability to navigate reports and pull accurate information

KNOWLEDGE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Eligible for pharmacist licensure in the United States, Iowa preferred (must be licensed within 120 days of hire date) 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently while managing multiple projects, 
    assignments, and responsibilities

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum level of education or education/experience: Doctorate
    • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy, 
    • Eligible for pharmacist licensure in the United States, Iowa preferred (must be licensed 
      within 120 days of hire date)

The starting salary for this position is $55,000 annually. The actual base salary offered will consider candidate’s geographic location, job related knowledge, experience, and skill amongst other potential factors. There may be a bonus or commission, and/or a long-term incentive that will be provided as part of the compensation package, along with medical, financial and/or other benefits, depending on the level and position offered.
