Job Description
Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Department: Client Support Services
Supervisor: Manager of Technical Services
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Present a professional image to customers and vendors.
  • Electro-mechanical skills, including motors, gearboxes, and functionality of other discrete components.
  • Practice safe work habits and abide by the safety rules in accordance with the safety policies set in place.
  • Provide electro-mechanical corrective repairs and preventative maintenance services per manufacturer specifications.
  • Log all service work performed, downtime during repair, and account for equipment service requests.
  • Work in cooperation as a team with warehouse operators.
  • Maintain and control spare parts inventory for critical spare parts replenishment.
  • Performs semi-complex work within technical support or technical remote guidance.
  • Participates in semi-complex maintenance tasks, equipment trial runs, investigative tests, troubleshoot equipment failures, repairs, and overhauls.
  • Participates in training co-team members on semi-complex products, operations, and services.
  • Performs semi-complex maintenance on tools, test equipment, etc.
  • Maintains documents of all inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures log.
  • Participates in the assessment of semi-complex product/equipment performance based on field support data and recommends modifications or improvements.
  • Responds to and corrects semi-complex equipment faults.
  • Effectively identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex.
  • Refers complex, unusual problems to integration experts for guidance and/or repairs.
  • All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in the Material Handling Industry is preferred.
  • Including but not limited to electro-mechanical.
  • A minimum of 3 years of Management experience in the Material Handling Industry is preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision with a high degree of responsibility.
  • Ability to understand and explain mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • AutoCAD viewer & Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, SharePoint) experience required.
  • Experience with installation and/or integration of systems is preferred.
  • Industry knowledge related to supply chain, logistics, material handling systems, and software such as WMS, WCS, ERP, etc. is preferred.

Working Conditions:
  • Travel 5% of the time, and up to 25% as needed.
  • Willingness to work any shift (as needed) and overtime as required to meet customer deadlines.
  • Weekend/night work required as needed.
  • Working in office, warehouse, and manufacturing facilities.
  • Occasional ascending and descending racking and/or mezzanines.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights up to 40 feet in the air via scissor lift.
  • Possible exposure to noise levels exceeding recommended DBA levels.
  • Occasional movement and positioning of objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
