Job description

Commercial HVAC Project Manager
Howell's Heating & Air is seeking a self-motivated, career focused, customer driven individual to join our HVAC team of Project Managers in commercial construction. Howell's is known for delivering the best in commercial HVAC in Central, VA while maintaining a family atmosphere where home/work balance is pushed from the top down.
Summary/Objective: Howell's Commercial HVAC Project Managers manage a team of highly skilled and professional commercial construction install teams on various commercial projects ranging from 25K-5M. Howell's Project Managers need to be leaders, problem solvers, with an eye for working through the details of an installation. Our Project Managers need to be able to work with fellow field Project Managers and other key project professionals.
Essential Functions:
  • Identify, estimate, sell commercial HVAC projects
  • Plan and oversee the installation of HVAC projects with field install teams
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with internal and external customers

Education & Experience:
  • 5+ years of HVAC construction project management & estimating experience required
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Office, Acrobat, and willing and able to learn new computer skills
  • Must be a self-directed self-starter, be able to work with little supervision and part of the team, follow directions, be able to actively think and find solutions to unique challenges
  • Must be able to pass a drug test, background screening (driving and criminal)
  • Must have a clean driving record and be company insurable
  • Must adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Must be available to work assigned schedules and occasional extended hours as needed

The work environment includes but not limited to:
  • Sitting, standing, stooping, squatting, climbing for long periods of time in varying temperatures, humidity, inside and out and varying noise levels. May be exposed to smells, fumes, duct, confined spaces, heights, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Limited travel may be required (rarely overnight), company vehicle provided.

  • LEED Accredited and Experience
  • Prior military experience
