Job description

Anderson University is accepting applications to join our dynamic and growing Engineering Department. We invite candidates to join our team as an Adjunct Faculty Member, to cover a variety of courses as the program continues to grow!  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer and/or Civil Engineering.

Anderson University is home to ABET accredited engineering programs including:  Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering.  The university also hosts thriving Civil Engineering and Humanitarian Engineering programs.

Primary duties for the position include teaching undergraduate engineering courses using current tools of the industry, connecting students with industry professionals, mentoring students, generating scholarship, service to the community, and participating in departmental and university committees.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Engineering or a related field.  A Master’s degree paired with a PE and sufficient experience will be considered.  Candidates in the areas of Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Computer and/or Civil Engineering will be considered.

Candidates should have belief in and commitment to Jesus Christ and the Christian faith as interpreted through the historic witness of the Bible and the contemporary ministry of the Holy Spirit. They should possess a vitality of Christian experience that is maturing in insight and application. Candidates must meet University lifestyle expectations.
