Summary: The Employment and Human Services Associate plays a critical role in supporting the Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) program by interviewing unemployment insurance claimants, verifying eligibility, and connecting individuals to workforce services. This position ensures compliance with program requirements while guiding participants through reemployment planning and job search strategies. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage caseloads efficiently within a dynamic workforce development setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured interviews with RESEA participants to gather employment history, eligibility information, and career goals
  • Review unemployment insurance status and ensure participants meet RESEA program requirements
  • Explain program services and expectations clearly to participants, including timelines and compliance standards
  • Assist customers in developing individualized employment plans (IEPs), identifying short- and long-term career goals
  • Refer participants to appropriate services, including workshops, job search assistance, training opportunities, or supportive services
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in case files and workforce systems (e.g., WorkInTexas.com)
  • Monitor progress, provide follow-up, and issue reminders to ensure continued engagement and compliance
