Job description

Staff Source is seeking a Human Resources Intern to assist with all aspects of Staffing and Human Resources.

Duties:

Recruiting

ยท Actively participate in the entire recruiting process

  • Create job postings
  • Review resumes, conduct phone screenings and interview qualified candidates
  • Attend job fairs and participate in recruiting events
  • Assist with providing orientation and training to new hires
  • Complete all new hire paperwork with employees
  • Create job orders
  • Assist recruiters with filling job orders
  • Issue counseling statements to employees that violate company policy

Payroll

  • Collect and review employee hours weekly
  • Review any payroll discrepancies
  • Issue write-upโ€™s for attendance violations
  • Collect and manage leave requests (FMLA, vacation requests, etc)

Administrative

  • General administrative duties (filing, faxing, answering phones etc)
  • Monitor the proper completion of paperwork
  • Assist in establishing new procedures
  • Develop spreadsheets and reports as needed
  • Maintain employee files

Requirements:

  • Communicate with candidates and clients in a professional manner
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills
  • Must possess outstanding time management and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Ideal candidates will be currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Management or similar
