Description
The HRIS Analyst is responsible for administering, enhancing, and supporting the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role plays a key part in system configuration, data integrity, reporting, process improvement, testing, and end user support.
The Analyst collaborates closely with HR, Payroll, IS, and operational leaders to ensure HR technology supports organizational goals and provides an efficient, accurate, and user-friendly experience. The HRIS Analyst supports ongoing system optimization, HR technology implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure alignment with evolving standards, regulations, and best practices.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Configure, maintain, and enhance HRIS modules including workflows, security access and user roles, dashboards, and automated processes to support evolving business needs.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for HRIS features, providing guidance to HR, leaders, and end-users.
  • Develop and execute test scripts for system updates, patches, and new feature rollouts.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure accurate, stable deployment of system changes.
  • Perform routine data validation, audits, and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor and support HRIS integrations across connected systems; collaborate with key stakeholders and vendors to resolve issues.
  • Build and maintain recurring and ad-hoc HR reports for leadership and operational stakeholders.
  • Develop dashboards and visual analytics to support workforce planning, compliance, and decision-making.
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate and redesign HR workflows and processes to align with system best practices and organizational needs. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve efficiency organization-wide.
  • Develop user guides, training materials, and documentation for system processes and enhancements. As well as conduct training for HR and end-users and support change management related to new system features or process changes.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service, timely issue resolution, and HRIS support to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field
Experience:
  • 3+ years of hands-on HRIS experience in system configuration, reporting, data auditing, and HR technology support required.
  • Experience with UKG or another enterprise HRIS strongly preferred.
  • Experience with system implementations, workflow optimization, or integrations preferred. Healthcare of other regulated industry experience a plus.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with HR reporting tools and HR data analysis
  • Ability to design and execute testing plans for new features and system upgrades
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot system and data issues
  • Excellent communication skills for parting with cross-functional teams and conducting trainings
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to a fast-paced, change driven environment
