What you'll do:
The Human Resources Generalist supports day-to-day HR operations, partnering with leaders and employees to deliver consistent, compliant, and employee-focused HR services. This role provides broad HR support across employee relations, onboarding, leave administration support, data integrity, compliance, performance management, and training coordination.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers, responding to HR inquiries and providing guidance on policies, procedures, and practices.
Respond to inquiries regarding the organization's processes, policies, procedures, and programs.
Coordinate talent acquisition and onboarding activities: requisition coordination, interviews, offer letter and pre-employment workflow support, new-hire orientation, I-9/E-Verify coordination, and ensuring required documentation is completed timely.
Process and maintain accurate employee data in HRIS (new hires, job changes, terminations, organizational updates), ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
Support employee relations activities, including intake, documentation, investigations support, and coordination with HR leadership and Legal as needed.
Assist with performance management processes (cycle communications, system support, manager/employee guidance, tracking completion).
Support leave of absence and accommodation processes by coordinating documentation, tracking status, and partnering with the benefits.
Prepare and maintain HR files and documentation in accordance with retention requirements; ensure confidentiality and appropriate access controls.
Run standard HR reports and dashboards; analyze basic trends (e.g., turnover, attendance issues, onboarding completion) and elevate insights/concerns.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies; support HR audits and corrective action plans as needed.
Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives (process documentation, SOP updates, system enhancements, change management support).
Support office clerical and management needs, along with general facilities responsibilities.
Other duties as assigned.
What you need to be successful:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
3+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or HR operations role.
Experience supporting an office environment and partnering with leaders across multiple functions.
Exposure to multi-state employment compliance and/or manufacturing/field population support.
Working knowledge of core HR practices, employment laws and regulations.
Experience using an HRIS and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); ability to learn new systems quickly.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task
