Brad Stewart with Robert Half Finance & Accounting is recruiting for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to lead the full scope of HR operations for a growing renewable energy organization in Reno, Nevada. This position serves as the primary HR leader, supporting employees and management across recruiting, workforce development, employee relations, and regulatory compliance. The role also partners closely with leadership to strengthen culture, support business growth, and maintain effective people practices across multiple operational sites.


Responsibilities:

• Lead daily human resources activities across the employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, training coordination, performance discussions, and employee support.

• Manage recruitment efforts by identifying talent needs, guiding selection processes, and helping teams attract candidates with relevant experience for expanding operations.

• Administer the annual performance review cycle from planning through completion, ensuring consistency, follow-up, and alignment with business objectives.

• Develop and apply HR programs that encourage employee engagement, retention, and career growth across the organization.

• Advise leaders on workplace matters, including employee relations concerns, disciplinary actions, and separation processes, with clear guidance on risk and compliance.

• Create, update, and implement HR policies and procedures that support operational needs and promote a strong, values-driven work environment.

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment requirements, while maintaining accurate documentation and confidential employee records.

• Oversee compensation and benefits administration, evaluate program effectiveness, and recommend improvements based on market practices and organizational needs.

• Support employment matters involving U.S. work authorization and visa-related processes, including documentation awareness and compliance considerations.

• Travel to power plant and operational sites as needed to provide hands-on HR partnership and support workforce planning initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in human resources, including broad exposure to employee relations, onboarding, and HR administration.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance standards at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Experience working with HRIS platforms; familiarity with Paycor is preferred.
• Ability to manage benefits administration, employee records, and core HR processes with accuracy and discretion.
• Understanding of U.S. visa and work authorization processes, including related compliance responsibilities.
• HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel to various operational sites as part of the role.
