Job Type: Full-Time - Onsite

Reports To: Controller

Salary: Dependent on Experience

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and people-focused HR Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day human resources functions of our organization. The HR Manager will serve as a trusted resource for employees and management while helping ensure that our company maintains a positive, productive, and professional workplace.

This position will be responsible for employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, policies and procedures, and other HR-related functions. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, knowledgeable about employment practices, and able to balance the needs of employees with the goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day HR operations and provide guidance to employees and managers.
  • Lead the recruiting and hiring process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, background checks, and hiring recommendations.
  • Develop and manage effective employee onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel records.
  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, and employee questions.
  • Manage employee relations issues and assist with conflict resolution and disciplinary matters.
  • Support managers with performance evaluations, coaching, corrective action, and employee development.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain required HR documentation, records, and reports.
  • Partner with management on workforce planning, staffing needs, and organizational development.
  • Monitor employee attendance, leave, and other employment-related matters.
  • Assist with payroll-related HR information and employee questions as needed.
  • Coordinate employee training and professional development programs.
  • Help promote a positive company culture and employee engagement.
  • Stay current on changes in employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is preferred.
  • 3โ€“5 years of progressive HR experience, with management-level experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to other locations quarterly.
  • Strong knowledge of employment practices, employee relations, recruiting, and HR administration.
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll, benefits, and other HR systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with management and employees.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard HR technology.
