Human Resources & Culture Director

Cor-Vanama Solutions/Consumer Directions Inc. provides the payroll and administrative support to individuals who are part of various Minnesota Department of Human Services programs with the goal of the participant remaining in their home with the paid assistance of their family members and friends. Our passion is to help families navigate their journey through self-directed services.

We are seeking a Human Resources and Culture Director who is passionate about developing people, strengthening culture, and creating meaningful employee experiences. This is a leadership role within our growing organization of 70+ employees, with continued growth anticipated.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Human Resources and Culture Director will lead, develop, and support an HR team currently consisting of eight direct reports, with potential for additional team growth as the organization expands.

Primary duties include leading the HR team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting employee success through development, training, and self-reflection processes. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, collaborative, and skilled in coaching and team development.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and coach employees to support individual growth, accountability, and organizational success.
  • Facilitate employee development processes including self-reflections, development plans, strengths-based initiatives, and leadership alignment.
  • Support onboarding experiences focused on organizational values, culture, strengths, and long-term engagement
  • Partner with leaders to support employee relations, including corrective action plans, alignment plans, and performance improvement strategies.
  • Manage and improve HR processes, systems, and administrative workflows to support operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain employee documentation processes, including position descriptions, quarterly reviews, and compliance alignment.
  • Review and update HR procedures, documents, and practices to ensure consistency and alignment.

Ideal candidate should possess:

  • Experience coaching employees and supporting performance management processes.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic initiatives with hands-on HR operations.
  • Passion for creating meaningful employee experiences and developing people.
  • Experience creating or improving HR processes, documentation, and systems.
  • Experience with employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and culture-building efforts preferred.
  • Experience in a growing organization where flexibility, collaboration, and initiative are valued.

Physical Demands:

Travel:

  • This position may require local travel to our second office location or training venue.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, or related field preferred
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred
  • Previous HR leadership or managerial experience required.
  • Experience leading teams and supporting organizational growth preferred.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Upon hire, all candidates must pass a state-run background check and complete fingerprinting.
  • Upon hire, candidates will be subject to a driving record check.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000
