Job description

Job summary: The Glenmount residence is part of the Azoulay Group which includes 3 residences for the elderly, a construction company and a training center. A growing company with the opening in April 2020 of the third residence for the elderly and people with reduced autonomy. The Group have a capacity of more than 500 residents and about 240 employees. Under the supervision of the CEO, the human resources advisor participates in the creation, implementation and maintenance of human resources programs at all sites. The incumbent assumes an advisory role with managers. The incumbent is involved in organizational and operational files of the various human resources specializations, in particular staffing, labor relations, occupational health and safety, pay equity, training and the accreditation process. Responsibilities: Professional relationships : Ensures that harmonious relations are maintained with all stakeholders. In collaboration with managers, documents events relating to employee performance and behavior. Advises managers in the management of performance and / or behavioral issues and leads the process of disciplinary action or performance improvement. Play an advisory role and intervene, when required, in problematic situations. Policies and Programs: Develops and updates policies and programs affecting HR management and ensures their communication. Participate in the development and implementation of the vision and human resources objectives in order to be a business partner for internal clients and support the growth of the company. Offers ways to proactively manage human resources. Organizes, plans and carries out activities relating to the Pay Equity Act. Health security : Participate in the development of a health and safety culture by developing and implementing policies, procedures, training and all other activities to prevent work accidents. Established and carried out the prevention plan for all sites. Performance management: Actively participates in the development and updating of the assessment process and tools. Supports and advises managers in the evaluation process and in the ongoing performance management of their employees. Training: Collaborate with managers to identify training or coaching needs. Develops training or offers training adapted to the needs of the company. Mobilization and promotion: Manages the recognition program and ensures that objectives are met. Proposes strategies to engage and recognize employees. Other Responsibilities: Be the point of contact for employees for their questions. Offer a human resources service. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives, including the Accreditation Canada process. Perform any other related task at the request of the immediate superior. Requirements: Hold a bachelor's degree in industrial relations or human resources or a related field. Have at least 5 to 7 years of experience in human resources management, as a generalist in a unionized environment. Have a command of French and English both orally and in writing. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing work environment. Have a car to travel between residences as needed. Having experience in the health field is an asset. Being a member of the Order of Certified Human Resources Advisors, an asset.
