The Human Resources Intern provides administrative and project-based support to the HR team while gaining hands-on experience in various HR functions. This role assists with recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, HR administration, and other initiatives that support the organization's workforce and business objectives.

Internship Credit/Experience: This is a paid or credit-based internship depending on school requirements and your availability. Position requires 15 hours per week maximum.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a Human Resource major.

Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact professionally with colleagues and prospective employees.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Canva programs.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously


Key Responsibilities

Assist with recruiting activities, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.

Support new hire onboarding by preparing onboarding materials and coordinating orientation activities.

Maintain employee records and ensure HR databases are accurate and up to date.

Assist with data entry, filing, document management, and HR compliance activities.

Support employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and company events.

Help create and update HR documents, policies, and training materials.

Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.

Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.

Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources Manager and Leadership team.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift at least 30lbs.

Must be able to use MS Office Suite and other software systems proficiently
