Job description

GetixHealth is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Human Resources Assistant to support our growing HR team. In this role, you'll help create an exceptional employee experience by supporting onboarding, employee record management, HR administration, and new hire processes.

As a Human Resources Assistant, you will support both employees and candidates throughout their employment journey by:
  • Coordinating new hire onboarding activities and orientation logistics
  • Processing I-9s and E-Verify requirements
  • Managing onboarding tasks through UKG and other HR systems
  • Tracking background screenings and partnering with vendors to expedite completion
  • Maintaining employee records and digital personnel files
  • Processing employee separations and employment verification requests
  • Monitoring HR email inboxes and responding to employee inquiries
  • Assisting with employee communications, recognition programs, and engagement initiatives
  • Supporting HR projects and process improvement efforts
  • Coordinating with IT and hiring teams for new hire setup and orientation readiness
  • Providing outstanding customer service to current, former, and prospective employees.
  • Perform other HR duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
  • Previous HR Assistant or HR internship experience preferred, but not required.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn HRIS and related systems; UKG experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong research skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail.
  • Highly organized, process-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong administrative and customer service experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
  • Office-based role with extended periods of sitting, bending, and stooping.
  • Frequent use of office equipment such as computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.

Additional Notes:
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm CST (onsite in the Sugar Land office). After your first 90 days, you'll be eligible for a hybrid schedule, allowing you to work from home two days per week. Please note that Mondays are mandatory in-office days.
  • Compensation: $19/hr.
