The Michigan Civil Service Commission is seeking enthusiastic student assistants to support a special project focused on HR records for the Michigan Department of Corrections. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced Human Resources environment.

Required Education and Experience

Current enrollment in high school, vocational or technical school, or post-secondary education institutions. Specific information on the education and experience required for different class levels is in the job specifications of the Human Resources Student Assistant class. Alternate Education and Experience

Student Assistant positions cannot exceed 129 working hours in a calendar month and must be enrolled in at least six credit hours per term, providing proof of enrollment at the start of each term. Student Assistant appointments end the month in which the student graduates or is no longer enrolled in school. A Student Assistant position cannot exceed six years unless otherwise approved by Human Resources.
