Job description

Job Summary:
The Human Resource Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resources department, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with the organization’s mission and talent strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand organizational goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.

  • Plan, develop, and implement HR policies, procedures, and training programs that support compliance and company objectives.

  • Oversee HR programs including compensation, benefits, employee relations, investigations, performance management, recognition, safety, and training.

  • Identify staffing and recruiting needs; develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management.

  • Manage HR staff, including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance recommendations.

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and technology, and communicate updates to leadership.

  • Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.

  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of five years of HR management experience required.

  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) highly preferred.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS/talent management systems.
